The New York loft feel of the top floor felt too off-puttingly 'young' for Laurence and Jackie. Instead they saw it as the perfect apartment for Cecile and Hermione to grow up within.
First of all, the old over-large bathroom had to be knocked away to create the sleeping end of Hermione's bedroom. A new bathroom was then created between Hermione's room and the shared sitting room. At the other end of the floor, a screen wall with modern glass doors defines Cecile's bedroom. A densely repeating paper in pale blue from the LLB Definitive Collection and an LLC geometric patterned carpet was used to balance a contemporary look with the gnarled old beams and general romantic atmosphere.
In Hermione's room by contrast, a strong purple pink paint designed by Hermione herself, sets the tone and is a perfect foil to the Tana lawn fabric by Liberty named after her. Large Hs in gloss pink catch the light and bring the flat finish of the walls to life.

Wallpaper

Hermione Paint
This colour was created specifically for Hermione. Hermione and Laurence mixed a selection of Johnstone's paints to create a bespoke colour. This was then brushed out and taken back to Johnstone's colour matching department to create a unique formulation that is now available throughout the country – all details for Johnstones paints are in the contacts & bio's section.
